On December 4, our members and guests gathered at The Palazzo for our Annual Installation and Awards Banquet — an evening dedicated to celebrating excellence, honoring service, and looking ahead to the year to come. The evening provided an opportunity to recognize outstanding achievements, install our incoming leadership, and reflect on the continued dedication of our REALTOR® community.

Throughout the evening, we proudly recognized several outstanding individuals whose dedication and professionalism have made a lasting impact on our Association and the communities we serve. This year’s honorees included:

  • 2025 REALTOR® of the Year: Tanya Blair
  • Affiliate of the Year: Thomas Sippel
  • Lifetime Achievement Award: Betty DuBry
  • Good Neighbor Award: Joan Hinterschied
  • Rookie of the Year: Adam Weigand

Each award recipient exemplifies the values of integrity, service, and leadership that define our REALTOR® community. We congratulate them on their achievements and thank them for their continued commitment to excellence.

The evening also featured a reverse 50/50 raffle, which raised an impressive $1,800 in charitable donations for Habitat for Humanity. This contribution will support local families in their journey toward safe, stable housing — a mission closely aligned with the heart of our profession.

We extend our sincere appreciation to all members who attended, participated, and contributed to the success of the evening. Your engagement continues to strengthen our organization and the communities we serve.

A special thank‑you goes to Reflections by Rob, LLC, whose professional photography captured the spirit, celebration, and memorable moments of the night.

MOAR Thanks & Giving Raffle

The MOAR Affiliate Committee recently hosted a Thanksgiving‑themed online raffle in support of our local Shop with a Cop programs — and thanks to the generosity of our members and community, we are proud to share that we raised $1,000 to help brighten the holidays for local children.

Participants entered for a chance to win a festive basket filled with fall treats and local goodies, adding a little extra warmth to the season while supporting a meaningful cause. Every ticket purchased helped make a direct impact, ensuring more children can enjoy a joyful and memorable holiday shopping experience with their local officers.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed, shared, and participated. Your support continues to reflect the spirit of service and community that defines our Association.

December 4, 2025 – The Midwestern Ohio Association of REALTORS® is proud to announce Betty DuBry of Master Key Realty as the recipient of the 2025 Mary Pollock Lifetime Achievement Award. This prestigious honor recognizes a REALTOR® whose career reflects exceptional leadership, integrity, service, and long-standing dedication to the real estate profession and the communities they serve.

With 25 years in real estate, including 22 years as a licensed broker, Betty has built a legacy defined by professionalism, resilience, and genuine care for her clients and colleagues. In 2008, during one of the most challenging economic periods in recent history, Betty purchased her first real estate company and led it through the housing downturn with determination and vision. Over the years, she has owned and operated several successful real estate firms, consistently raising the standard for client service and ethical practice.

Betty’s clients have remained loyal to her for decades, often returning generation after generation. Her ability to earn that trust is rooted not only in her expertise, but in her honesty, compassion, and unwavering commitment to helping families navigate life’s most important transitions.

Her influence reaches far beyond real estate. Betty has served on numerous community boards, including the Mercer Health Board of Governors, Celina-Mercer Chamber of Commerce, Parkway School Board, Mercer County Revolving Loan Fund Board, and her political party’s Central Executive Committee. Her leadership and service have strengthened local organizations and enriched the communities she calls home.

Betty is also known for her generosity. Over the years, she has supported local school theater and sports programs, community initiatives, cancer-related causes, and scholarship fundraisers. She is a longtime RPAC donor, consistently advocating for private property rights and a strong future for the real estate profession.

Her professional accomplishments include Century 21 Sales Achievement Awards and multiple Ohio REALTORS® Achievement Awards, but it is her character — her kindness, faith, and dedication to others — that truly define her career. Guided by a strong faith in God, Betty approaches every aspect of her life with gratitude, compassion, and purpose.

Outside of her professional and volunteer commitments, she finds joy in spending time with her grandchildren, relaxing with friends, and caring for her beloved puppies, embracing the balance and fulfillment that come from a life well lived.

The Midwestern Ohio Association of REALTORS® congratulates Betty DuBry on receiving the 2025 Mary Pollock Lifetime Achievement Award and celebrates her extraordinary service, leadership, and lasting impact on the real estate community

From humble beginnings of helping her future broker hand paint real estate signs in her backyard during college, to establishing herself as an exemplary REALTOR® all while raising a wonderful family, and lots and lots of cows; Gina is a wonderful example of an excellent real estate agent…and human being.

Midwestern Ohio REALTORS would like to congratulate Gina Roseberry on receiving this year’s Mary Pollock Lifetime Achievement Award.

Jennifer has also sponsored multiple educational opportunities for MOAR members over the years as well. Sponsorship from affiliates allows the association to offer continuing education classes at no Charge or a nominal fee.  We could not do this without the support of great affiliates, like Jennifer.

Most notably, Jennifer has shown her dedication to her profession by taking time out of her personal life to attend well over 100 open houses over the past year or so with local agents!  One nominator wrote, “she goes above and beyond to support her industry and community…as far as going out of her way to attend open houses which gives the listing agent a way to show added value to their clients.”

Her commitment to our industry and our association are undeniable and sincerely appreciated.

Midwestern Ohio REALTORS would like to congratulate Jennifer Bornhorst of U.S. Bank on receiving the 2023 Affiliate Business Partner of the Year Award.

Adam Weigand awarded Rookie of the Year

Adam Rookie of the year

December 4, 2025 – The Midwestern Ohio Association of REALTORS® is proud to announce Adam Weigand of Choice Properties Real Estate as the recipient of the 2025 Rookie of the Year Award. This award recognizes a new REALTOR® who demonstrates exceptional initiative, professionalism, and early career success while embodying the values of the REALTOR® organization.

Adam’s path into real estate began with remarkable determination. After expressing strong interest in joining the profession in early October 2024, Adam enrolled in all required coursework the very next day. Less than a month later, on November 11, he successfully passed his licensing exam — a sign of the drive and commitment that would define his first year in the industry.

From his first day at Choice Properties, Adam approached his new career with a level of confidence and work ethic more commonly seen in seasoned professionals. He quickly earned the admiration of his broker, colleagues, and clients through his personable nature, strong communication skills, and deepening understanding of the real estate market.

Adam’s performance in his first year has been exceptional. As of September 1, he successfully closed twelve properties, a remarkable achievement for a first-year agent. His success also earned him recognition as a 2025 Ohio REALTORS® President’s Sales Club recipient — a significant milestone at any stage of a real estate career, let alone within the first year.

“Adam has been a go-getter from day one,” his broker shared. “He has exceeded every expectation, proven himself to be an invaluable member of our team, and set a high bar for what a new agent can accomplish.”

The Midwestern Ohio Association of REALTORS® congratulates Adam Weigand on being named the 2025 Rookie of the Year and looks forward to his continued growth and contributions to the profession.
